Comment on How to Make Loukoumi – Greek Turkish Delight by Antoinette Marie Zographos https://honestcooking.com/loukoumi-greek-turkish-delight/#comment-1999960 Tue, 07 Nov 2023 02:14:36 +0000 http://honestcooking.com/?p=151367#comment-1999960 Being an Asia Minor Greek, how does one make pasta flora using loukoumi candy?
A deceased aunt was known for this recipe which seems to have been known and quite popular amongst these Greeks.
I recall she rolling pieces of loukoumi in phyllo but I have no idea if she used anything else.
Thanks/

If you just want biscuits put them in the oven, but not for English muffins…you don’t need to put them in the oven at all if you don’t want to….cooking them on the stove top is the cooking method for these.

Comment on Baking with Grains: Cracked Wheat Bread by Anonymous https://honestcooking.com/baking-with-grains-cracked-wheat-bread/#comment-1999390 Mon, 30 Oct 2023 19:45:44 +0000 http://honestcooking.com/?p=13643#comment-1999390 As a previous comment pointed out, adding the yeast mixture to the bread is missing. Also the amount of bread floor is inaccurate. I added at least an additional 2 cups of floor (I lost count) to get this dough to clean the bowl. It was still a sticky dough, which I could deal with, but at least not a sticky pool of batter.

It’s definitely not a portuguese thing. Every recipe I have always seen in Portugal calls for rice flour.
